This report presents the work undertaken and the findings of Phase 1 of the Irish Coastal Wave and Water Level Modelling Study (ICWWS) 2018. Phase 1 of ICWWS 2018 provides an update to the Estimated Extreme Coastal Boundary Water Levels, associated with astronomical tide, storm surge and seiche/local wind set-up allowance, for the coast of Ireland, originally presented as output from the Irish Coastal Protection Strategy Study (ICPSS) undertaken between 2004 and 2013, as well as two further future scenario extreme water level datasets associated with 1.5m (H+EFS) and 2.0m (H++EFS) of Sea Level Rise. The ICPSS had previously provided equivalent extreme coastal water levels for a similar range of Annual Exceedance Probability (AEP) events at the same coastal points or nodes around the coast of Ireland and for the current and two future scenarios (MRFS and HEFS). The latter ICPSS outputs are now superseded by these ICWWS 2018 Phase 1 outputs.

This report provides information relating to the data used for the hydraulic modelling that was carried out within the study area. The report includes full detail on hydraulic model information that was used as input material, model schematisation and construction, sensitivity analysis, calibration, verification, model limitations and handover notes. This information is provided as a single source of reference for each AFA studied as part of the CFRAM study and formed the basis for the CFRAM mapping.

Cineál: Hydrology Report
Foilsithe: 01/09/2014
Foilsitheoir: Office of Public Works
Technical report detailing the review of historic floods; the analysis of river flow, water level and rainfall data; and the analysis of catchments and sub-catchments, in order to derive estimates, for a range of design event probabilities, of peak fluvial flood flows and hydrographs, coastal flood levels, and their joint probability of occurrence, throughout the Study area. The report describes the calibration, validation and sensitivity tests of the results, and considers the impacts of future environmental and catchment changes.

Report providing a detailed methodology statement for three key initial areas of work in the CFRAM Studies, namely data collection, specification of the topographical survey and the hydrological analysis and modelling. The report includes a list of historical floods, with such information as dates, flood mechanisms and impacts. A list of data identified at the inception stage is included, as are any critical constraints or data gaps and an assessment of the impact of those gaps.

Cineál: Preliminary Options Report
Foilsithe: 01/05/2016
Foilsitheoir: Office of Public Works
This report describes the process by which, once the flood risk to an area is identified and quantified, the most appropriate structural or non structural FRM measures are screened, developed and appraised against a range of flood risk management objectives to identify potential solutions. The report gives an overview of this analysis which, in combination with public consultation, has informed the preferred measures that were taken forward to the Flood Risk Management Plan.
