Public and Stakeholder Engagement

Clare County Council, the Office of Public Works and Tetra Tech will engage with the public on the proposed Shannon Flood Relief Scheme in order to ensure adequate opportunities for public participation. Three public consultation events have been held to date.
The most recent public consultation event was held on Thursday, 30th July 2026 at Treacys Oakwood Hotel. A copy of the emerging preferred option can be seen here.

Any interested parties may provide comments or raise queries in relation to the scheme and emerging preferred options by contacting the project team at shannonfrs@tetratech.com.
The comments and queries raised shall be considered in the Scheme design and during the preparation of the EIAR.
