Japanese Knotweed Treatment

September 2020

A fourth year of treatment of Japanese Knotweed (and other invasive species) took place in August and September 2020. In July, an initial survey was carried out by Japanese Knotweed Ireland on lands along the Owenacurra and Dungourney Rivers.

The ongoing treatment of Japanese Knotweed is having positive effects in terms of limiting regrowth, thereby reducing the risk of blockages in water courses.

Please do not strim or cut Japanese Knotweed if you encounter it.
