Japanese Knotweed Treatment
August 2019
A third year of treatment of Japanese Knotweed (and other invasive species) is planned to take place in August and September 2019. Works will take place on lands along the along the Owenacurra and Dungourney Rivers. The appointed contractor, Japanese Knotweed Ireland, will require access to lands in order to survey and then treat Japanese Knotweed.
The ongoing treatment of Japanese Knotweed is having positive effects in terms of limiting regrowth, thereby reducing the risk of blockages in water courses.
Please do not strim or cut Japanese Knotweed if you encounter it.
