Cork County Council has appointed a specialist contractor (Japanese Knotweed Ireland) to carry out Japanese Knotweed Advance Treatment Works along the Owenacurra and Dungourney Rivers. It is anticipated that treatment will commence shortly.
An initial survey was carried out in Spring 2017 with subsequent treatment in Autumn 2017. This second round of treatment will include an initial survey to allow identification and treatment of any new stands, which may have developed since last year’s treatment works.
The contractor will require access to lands in order to survey and subsequently treat Japanese Knotweed. Your cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
