Treatment of Japanese Knotweed

Advance treatment of Japanese Knotweed (an invasive plant species) will be carried out in Douglas Community Park, Ravensdale & Ballybrack Valley over the coming weeks. The eradication of Japanese Knotweed will facilitate the construction of the Douglas Flood Relief Scheme and will protect properties in the affected areas from potential damage caused by the growth and spread of the plant. This advance work is the beginning of a treatment programme which will continue in 2016. For further details on Japanese Knotweed and its treatment please see the information leaflet in the download section of this site.
