February 2021 Scheme Update

Adhering to government guidance in relation to Covid-19, the Douglas FRS Construction site was closed on January 8th 2021. As an essential site and due to public health and safety concerns, the works were recommenced on the 1st of February. 

The final stage of the public realm works including public plazas, benching and path resurfacing in Douglas Community Park are nearing completion. The final road surfacing works to Church Road and Ravensdale has been laid and the road is open for traffic as usual.

Prioir to the recent site closure, the works in Douglas had been on course to be completed by the end of January 2021. Due to the site shut down, works have been delayed however they are expected to be completed in the coming weeks. 

The remaining works to be completed include:

• Tree and vegetation planting
• Seating installation
• Painting and tidying up works of all completed works
