Scheme Documents Submitted for Confirmation

The project team wish to annouce that the scheme documents have been submitted to the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform (M/PER) for Confirmation.
While the Confirmation Process takes time, we wish to thank all stakeholders for their support, interest, and observations in relation to the Crossmolina Flood Relief Scheme. Subject to a satisfactory conclusion of Department for Public Expenditure and Reform's Consultation and Independent Review, the M/PER will "Confirm" the scheme, providing the project team with permission to bring the Crossmolina Flood Relief Scheme forward to Construction.

The Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform has considered the recommendations and reports submitted by the Department's environmental consultants and has made a decision to confirm the scheme. Therefore, an order to confirm the scheme has been made and a notice of this decision and supporting documentation can be located through below link.
Construction Commencement Update
Following the expiry of the required statutory process on 4th December 2024, OPW commenced works on Crossmolina FRS.
