Public and Stakeholder Engagement

Kerry County Council will engage with public on the proposed Flood Relief Scheme to ensure adequate opportunity for public participation.

In November 2021 an opening public consultation event will be held to seek initial views from the public and other interested parties in relation to potential options to manage the flood risk in Tralee, to highlight points of local importance that might constrain the design and/or viability of any potential flood alleviation measures, and to collate information on any flood events that have occurred since the CFRAM Study was undertaken.

Later in Stage 1 a second public consultation event will be held to gather views on the developed Scheme options. The comments and queries raised at the public consultation date will be considered in the finalisation of the Scheme design and the preparation of the EIAR (Environmental Impact Assessment Report).
