Douglas Construction Update - May 2020 

Following government announcements on May 15th in relation to easing COVID-19 restrictions, construction on the Douglas Flood Relief Scheme sites in Douglas and Togher will re commence on Monday the 18th of May. 

The contractors on the scheme will be operating in line with the Construction Industry Federation's New Operating Procedures with a focus on protecting workers, their families and the communities in which we are active in. 

Adhering to government guidance in relation to social distancing, upcoming scheduled public consultation meetings have been postponed until further notice. All updates on the scheme will be published on the website and affected landowners will be contacted directly.

Cork City Council, Cork County Council and The Office of Public Works again wish to express their thanks to the people and businesses of Douglas and Togher for their cooperation thus far on the scheme. We look forward to your continued support as work on the site recommences and we hope you are all keeping safe during this time.
